About

Ntebo

Ntebo, a dynamic South African artist from the Eastern Cape, blends African folk, jazz, and Afro-soul with her classical opera training. Recognized nationally in choral competitions as the best performing solo soprano in high school, she won a scholarship for opera studies in Johannesburg due to her exceptional soprano talent.

Her accolades include winning at the South African national Post Office Choral Eisteddfod and being named the Best Solo Soprano at the Oliver Tambo Choral Music Festival.

Now based in the US, Ntebo has shared her heritage through performances at prestigious events, including for the Governor of Maryland and the World Bank Group’s G20 meeting, Passport DC, Miss Africa USA Pageant at Howard University, and the Oliver Tambo 100 Years Celebration hosted by the South African Embassy series, among others.

A major highlight is her debut solo concert, “Transkei to the World,” in Maryland, October 2023, celebrating her roots and the fight against apartheid, with a successful turnout. This concert, set for a summer 2024 EP release, marks a tribute to 30 years of South African democracy.

Ntebo is married to Doyin, a Nigerian immigrant and CPA/musician. Ntebo’s life is a blend of music and sonic storytelling. She looks forward to sharing more exciting projects on her musical journey!
